ASML Reports Improving Business Trend

VELDHOVEN, the Netherlands, September 10, 2009 - ASML Holding NV (ASML) today reports a business pick-up above previous guidance resulting mainly from the short- and mid-term needs in the DRAM memory and Logic segments. This will translate into Q3 and Q4 2009 net sales of above EUR 500 million each and Q3 2009 bookings significantly above that level.

Previous guidance issued on July 15 was for Q3 2009 net sales of around EUR 450 million.

ASML will report final 2009 third quarter results on October 14, 2009.
