Developing complex lithography machines
In D&E, you will be working on some of the most complex production machines in the world – accurate to a few nanometers at very high speeds. They include a multitude of advanced optical and mechatronic modules along with application software and operating systems. You would be involved in taking these machines forward.
That could be creating new components / subsystems, integrating them into a functional lithography tool, testing and evaluating prototypes, or developing new roadmaps to help move the industry forward. The pace of change in the semiconductor industry makes for a challenging environment. So you’ll be innovating with a strong focus on time-to-market, often starting new system development before the previous generation has reached the customer.
The development and engineering teams have extensive contact with leading research institutes, keeping up-to-date with the state-of-the-art in their respective fields. They also work closely with colleagues in Customer Support to ensure service-friendly designs.
