As Industrial Engineer EUV Defectivity you represent the manufacturing and customer support organizations in the product and process development. In this role you secure the product meets the required factory cycle time and field availability and operational cost. You ensure the product and process design is such that your colleagues in our factories and at our customer’s sites are able to efficiently set up and service our complex equipment.
You can see yourself as the bridge between the design project and the internal customers in the factories and the field.
In short, Defectivity is all about reducing the number and size of particles in the critical areas of the EUV Lithography machine. You need to be able to connect multiple technical disciplines when performing your job.
The Industrial Engineer EUV Defectivity is responsible for:
-Represent customer service / Manufacturing during the design phase and make sure the service requirements are implemented in the design
-Review design and design documentation
-Create procedures for diagnosing and solving machine issues, including setup and recovery
-Deliver knowledge of new products to the field and factory service organization
-Support (on-site) complex troubleshooting issues (escalations) during new product introduction phase
-Identify structural issues and drive the development team towards a solution
-Minimize operational costs for volume products by improving machine availability (up-time, cycle time)
-Analyze global product performance and define requirements for design improvement.
Bachelor or Master degree (preferred) in plasma physics, chemistry, optics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, materials science,
-Broad knowledge of cleanliness and/or defectivity
-Broad knowledge of manufacturing and/or service processes
-Previous background as production and/or service engineer preferably in a new product introduction environment
-Familiar with design processes
-Flexible and have a practical focus
-Strong technical background, interested in product and process
-Focused on quality, continuous improvement, need of the customer
-Pro-active mindset, plenty of initiative
-Highly motivated team player with good social and communication skills in English
-Ability to effectively influence your stakeholders to successfully get our designs and service processes to a higher level
-Able to deal with an atmosphere where priorities and technical insights might change suddenly
-Willingness for international travel (~ 10%)

The sector Development and Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design, and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. The position of Industrial Engineer EUV Defectivity is part of the Metrology & Machine Control cluster within the sector D&E.
The Industrial Engineer EUV Defectivity reports to the D&E Industrialization Group Leader.
