In Wilton, CT, ASML seeks an Architect 2 to join teamdeveloping Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography equipment and systems; takingdirection from system architects and senior engineering mentors who are leadingthe development effort of critical large capital equipment, integrate“off-the-shelf” robotics into capital equipment, developing with a cross sectorteam all related aspects such as dynamics, thermal management, end effectordesign, controls, etc.; perform “sustaining engineering” tasks, resolving equipmentdesign issues in a timely fashion as they arise at customer sites; participatein concept design studies for next generation equipment and subsystems; developthe mechatronic modules or sub-assemblies; and derive lower level requirementsand designs for mounted optics and mechatronic positioning and measurementdevices such as position and presence sensors.Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely-related field and2 years of relevant experience; mechatronics engineering background or specializationin closely-related areas such as robotics or other fields; experience inunderstanding and troubleshooting legacy designs to determine potential risks,failure modes, and corrective actions; basic experience with mechatronicsbehavior predictive modeling and methods including “first principle”engineering equations and other techniques, using tools such as Matlab,Simulink, or similar programs; strong skills in proof of concept developmentand design of experiments for a wide range of project needs; ability to runcomplex mechatronic systems for test and qualification of design changes;ability to drive cross functional teams toward quality deliverables, includingsoftware, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering; and strong technicalwriting and communication skills required.Apply online at (W/M/Vets/Disability) employer.
