As an Electrical Safety Architect at ASML San Jose, you will design, realize, and to a limited extent manage the system electrical safety. You pride yourself on being able to multitask and manage several project simultaneously including a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Operate in a multidisciplinary team and interface with multiple projects to realize own work.
  • Manage the electrical interfaces between the modules in the product.
  • Implement engineering changes into the products.
  • Investigate and solve issues on the system electrical safety.
  • Design and document Safety infrastructure parts that meet the international standards on electrical safety and EMC.
  • Participate in realization of the infrastructure like connection panels, electronic racks & cabinets.
  • Represent project team in several meetings.
  • Make a personal work breakdown planning, align with team and interfacing projects.
  • Act as a technical coach for other designers.

· Continuously improve the design processes.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in electrical engineering. Strong preference for MSEE.

· 8+ years of hands-on work experience in safety machine system realization in a similar function in a multidisciplinary organization.

· 8+ years of hands-on work experience as designer of electronic functions, including experience with working in multidisciplinary design teams to establish agreement on specifications

· Broad technical knowledge on electronics/safety/diagnosis/integration/Safety Regulations (standardization) / EMC and grounding concepts.

· Strong experience with general electrical engineering principles and electrical development methods and processes.

· Knowledge on EMC and electrical safety standards (IEC) and US standards (NFPA, UL) and preferably SEMI.

· Knowledge on analogue and digital circuitry and power electronics.

· Ability to set up system electrical safety concepts.

· Highly motivated team player with superior English communication skills (written and verbal).

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Strong knowledge of and experience with MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
