A total of 30+ highly technical engineers form the ASML Hillsboro CS Applications team, and are responsible to demonstrate, introduce, optimize, and sustain ASML solutions to ensure on-product performance for customers, and identify opportunities for new product creation. One of these teams is the DUV Applications team, responsible for the applications part of new DUV platform introduction and sustaining. Job Mission

Applications Engineering – Creating Tomorrow’s Value : We pro-actively enable business development and drive customer adoption of a tailored portfolio of sustainable ASML solutions by applying our industry product and process knowledge in a collaborative learning environment. You and the team are responsible for providing and maintaining lithography and/or applications solutions in the DUV applications area of overlay / imaging / focus / productivity. You are determined to drive DUV lithography patterning roadblocks into ASMLs product portfolio at appropriate stakeholder levels and make DUV introduction into volume a success.

As DUV Apps Group Lead, you will:
-Drive DUV applications program direction and support the organization to achieve customer agreements.
-Lead and develop individual employees to next levels of quality in technical contributions.

Job Description

-Lead the Hillsboro DUV application team, reporting to the applications manager, creating synergy and collaboration with the other sub-teams, as well as with account team and equipment teams.
-Collaborate with the NPI project lead who owns the technical project roadmap, deliverables, and timing to Intel, and CS NPI. Jointly, you ensure operational excellence to achieve agreed internal and external targets and customer performance in resource efficient way.
-Own the people management of the team and drive quality, structural improvements, and continuously drives efficiency and quality; initiates and leads improvement processes for local organization and world-wide applications community.
-Build an organization of technical leadership and teamwork that offers employees the opportunity to excel their growth potential through active performance management, coaching, and structured people development on training.
-Supervise technical progress of the team and their technical presentations, and drive organizational solutions finding and implementation of technical issues with an empowered team.
-Participate and/or lead projects which are aimed at supporting our customer transition to a new technology node or ramp up a specific technology node.
-Translate customer on-product issues into a potential lithography or metrology opportunities and drive to resolve roadblocks within the organization to maximize the adoption of ASML products.
-Participate with the account team in translation and execution of strategic account roadmaps and projects into operational execution plans.
-Meet with internal and external customers to maintain two-way level of commitment to keep all involved and affected parties informed of progress.
-Drive, evaluate and develop customer requirements for existing products based on technical intimacy with the customer.
-Partner with recruitment and management to identify hiring needs, succession planning and budget.
-You will be hands-on Group Lead, and as technical senior you will deliver high quality technical application contributions and analysis into the escalations and NPI project with the team.

Education

MSc (or BSc with significant relevant experience) in Physics, Optics, Electronics, Micro-electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or IC manufacturing or equivalent specializations, or equivalent experience.

Experience

-Professional with 8+ years’ experience in the semiconductor environment with a focus on lithography, (diffraction) metrology, patterning, or process control for R&D as well as HVM production.
-Experience in coaching and developing highly educated experts to achieve results.
-A minimum of 3 years’ experience in DUV lithography with a strong preference for on-product related skills as overlay, imaging, focus, and productivity.
-International experience working with multi-cultural teams and engineers of different levels of seniority.
-Excellent written and spoken English language skills.

-The holder of this position reports to the Hillsboro Field Applications Engineer manager; he/she interacts with the local project managers and account team, operates within multi-disciplinary engineering teams with a strong network into the customer and headquarters organization.
-Traveling up to 30% per year to ASML headquarters or customers sites are part of the job.
