This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
As an Senior Electrical Engineer position at ASML San Jose, the position is set to face the challenge of developing low-noise high-stability modules for new-generation products of SEM (scanning electron microscope) system. The new engineer is needed to play an important role in design’s technical analysis/review of our existing electronic modules/boards, exploitative study on direction of their innovation and standardization, research and development implementation and new product transformation. And the new engineer could work with sub-system architect, derive documents such as EPS and EDS for specific analog modules
·Play an important role in design’s technical analysis/review of our existing electronic modules/boards, exploitative study on direction of their innovation and standardization, research and development implementation (especially in PCB layout), and new product transformation.
·Strong design capability on analog circuits with fair handling capability on digital circuit
·Hands-on experience of schematic capture, schematic level simulation, PCB layout, module-design (cooperation with Mechanical Engineer), and trouble-shooting
·High-precision amplifier (board level) design, including linear and logarithmic amplifier
·Large power high stable Laser/LED driver design
·High-voltage amplifier design with kV’s output range and mV-level noise
·Low-noise high-stability current source design
·Precision ADC and DAC application experience
·Familiar with test equipment such as multi-meter, LCR meter, signal / function generator, oscilloscope, signal / spectral analyzer, and network analyzer
·Familiar with discreet components such as BJT, MOSFET, TVS, Laser Diode, Photo-Diode
·Knowledge and experience of board level and module level shielding and grounding is a plus
·MS degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of hands-on experience or BS in electronic Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on experience within EE or EE-related.
·Strong knowledge in electrical engineering with wide scope to most related fields.
- Strong design capability on analog circuits with fair handling capability on digital circuits.
- Independent working ability with high skills in schematic design, PCB layout, tune-up and trouble-shooting
- Strong initiative, self-motivation and team-working attitude.
·Proficiency in low noise, weak signal and high voltage circuit design and implementation, especially strong PCB layout skills on such circuits.
·Strong English communication skills – both written and oral.
- Previous working experience in SEM electronics, especially in deflection circuits, is a plus.
