As Industrial Engineer Factory Automation you represent the manufacturing and customer support organizations in the product and process development. In this role you secure the product meets the required factory cycle time and field availability. You ensure the product and process design is such that your colleagues in our factories and at our customers’ sites are able to efficiently set up and service our complex equipment.
You can see yourself as the bridge between the design project and the internal customers in the factories and the field.
The Factory Automation group develops and realizes software solutions that are instrumental to have our lithographic machines operating very productively while maintaining nanometer accuracy. Since software is an integrating competency, it is an essential added RequisitionLocal for ASML.
The Industrial Engineer Factory Automation is responsible for:
-Represent customer service / Manufacturing during the design phase and make sure the service requirements are implemented in the design
-Review design and design documentation
-Create procedures for diagnosing and solving machine issues
-Deliver knowledge of new products to the field and factory service organization
-Support (on-site) complex troubleshooting issues (escalations) during new product introduction phase
-Identify structural issues and drive the development team towards a solution
-Minimize operational costs for volume products by improving machine availability (up-time, cycle time)
-Analyze global product performance and define requirements for design improvement.
Bachelor or Master degree (preferred) in computer science, industrial engineering, electrical engineering (or other technical background) with minimum 2 years of working experience
-Experience in the high-tech industry and/or in factory automation has a preference
-Experience with SECS, EDA and EDI or familiar experience in other industries is a plus
-Broad knowledge of manufacturing and/or service processes
-Previous background as production and/or service engineer preferably in a new product introduction environment
-Flexible and have a practical focus
-Strong technical background, interested in product and process
-Focused on quality, continuous improvement, need of the customer
-Pro-active mindset, plenty of initiative
-Highly motivated team player with good social and communication skills in English
-Ability to effectively influence your stakeholders to successfully get our designs and service processes to a higher level
-Willingness for international travel (~ 10%)
Context of the position
The sector Development and Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design, and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. The position of Industrial Engineer Factory Automation is part of the Metrology & Machine Control cluster within the sector D&E.
The Industrial Engineer Factory Automation reports to the D&E Industrialization Group Leader.
