Job Description

Basic Elements of the Job:
Work in research team(s) to generate novel new ideas related to optical sensors used in the most advanced ASML products.In the case of some of the ideas, very detailed simulations will be needed to analyze performance of the concepts.This analysis will often require creating models from first principles since the workwill be novel and existing simulation models will not exist.The analysis will then lead to understanding of the physics as well create new opportunities depending on the outcome.
Physics at the PhD level including the Mathematics that goes with that education.Coding and scripting of the physics into MATLAB and similar environments.Deductive reasoning at the PhD level.Clear communication with other scientist.Novel thinking.Innovation.

Travel: 5 weeks a year (10%) with travel to conferences and teams working in collaboration with us in Continental US and Europe - San Jose, CASan Diego, CA, Veldhoven, Netherlands.

Education

PhD in Engineering or Physics, or equivalent experience.

Experience

2-4 years including PhD and Post Doctoral assignments.
