ASML has its engineering, development and manufacturing operations in Wilton, Connecticut and in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. The Software Engineering Department within the ASML Wilton office is currently searching for a talented software co-op student to help design and implement embedded software for systems among the highest precision ever produced in the world.

Job Description

The individual will be responsible for design/code/test of key modules of the software throughout the development cycle, ranging from specifying functional requirements by working with multi-disciplinary teams, outlining testing effort, to implementing the software and executing the testing steps to qualify the product, etc. The engineer will work closely with other engineers in development and engineering to create software that offers advanced diagnostic capability and fulfills the business needs.

Specific tasks include:
-Hands-on use of C/C++ and/or Python programming language to solve issues affecting ASML customers.
-Automating software testing using Jenkins tools – Agile environment.
-Development of software scripts that facilitate testing.
-Engaging with cross-discipline stakeholders to troubleshoot and create machines.

Education

  • Third or fourth year student in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher; minimum GPA 3.0

Experience

-Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
-A passion for programming.
-Proven ability writing C and C++ experience is required.
-Experience or proven ability in designing complex software architecture.
-Experience in one or more of the following languages:Python, Rubi, or QT is a plus.
-Experience with scripting languages likebash, tcsh, csh and perl, is a plus.
-Experience with Unix or Linux programming is a plus.
