In San Jose, CA, ASML seeks Competence Engineer 3 tojoin team of engineers developing a new inspection tool using computationallithography methods to identify patterns within a chip layout, which are mostsensitive to process variability, and enable defect prediction; report toProduct Engineering Group manager and work with the team to solve thechallenges associated with the shrinking in critical dimensions at the 10-nmnode and below; develop and support customer applications; own functional specificationsof new products, their functional and integration testing, as well as thedevelopment of best practices for standard or customized applications; providesecond line support for established products; interact with customers to gainunderstanding of their technical requirements and effectively translate them;conduct feasibility studies; determine best practices for new products;participate in new product introductions; perform acceptance tests; and conductcustomer engagement projects to demonstrate product performance.Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering,Physics or a closely-related field and 2 years of experience in lithographymodeling, OPC, or OPC verification; script level programming skill at least,higher skill level is preferred; advanced knowledge of optical physics andimaging (Fourier optics, EM theory, etc.) and semiconductor process technology;and insight into leading-edge chipmakers software, data analysis tools andcontrol strategies needs required.Applyonline at employer.
