In this position you’ll have a unique opportunity to work together with Subject Matter Experts from diverse fields across the ASML value chain.

Job Mission

Assess selected business processes or product issues to identify and drive areas for structural improvement. The scope is the entire ASML’s value chain, Quality improvement areas can be in the HardWare (HW), SoftWare (SW) domain or a combination.The assessment can be done across the ASML value chain: from (sub) suppliers through Purchasing, Manufacturing, Install and Field.

Job Description

-Apply risk-based methods to select the areas for conducting assessments.
-Conduct the assessments in a team approach: The function holder together with subject matter expert(s).
-Identify area for improvement and drive development and implementation of structural solutions together with the subject matter experts to move from reactive towards prevention.
-Monitor the implementation of the agreed structural improvements executed by the accountable action owner
-Develop structural Quality assessments methodologies to be applied fast and with high effectiveness along the value chain.
-Develop and maintain the required network.
-Transparent reporting towards the ASML stakeholders.

Assessments are conducted to come to a holistic understanding of a Quality performance issue: why has it occurred, why was it not detected and why the Quality Management System has failed.A Quality performance issue can be a.o.: Product Quality as experienced by our Customers, Supplier Quality as experienced by ASML and/or related Design Quality issues. The in-depthassessment must contain the problem description, root causes and identification of non-conformities at product and/or process level with improvement proposals.The objective is zero (re)occurance of the Quality performance issues by moving from reactive towards prevention.

The Senior Manager Quality Improvement will be part of the solution by e.g. advising, coaching and/or driving structural improvements. This is depending on the situation and the severity of the situation.
Reporting is done on a regular basis to stakeholders a.o. (Business) Process owners and Global Quality Staff

Education

-MSc, Bachelor and/or equivalent by experience
-Certified Lean 6 Sigma green/black belt or comparable is a plus.

Experience

-Over 7 years of operational and/or quality experience within a technical product development/production-oriented organization, preferably within ASML
-Well-developed people leadership
-Quality assurance concepts & tools (preferably low volume production) as SPC, FMEA, 6 Sigma, problem solving in your area of expertise (HW, SW and/or in combination)
-Experience in process thinking
-Experience in leading Quality improvement projects (e.g. Green/Black Belt or similar)

Context of the position

Reports to:Head of Quality Assessments Team within Global Quality
Interfaces with: All sectors within ASML, operational process owners, Problem Solving (e.g. 8D) teams
Typical stakeholders: SVP of Quality, Program Managers, Sector-/Cluster-/Department heads,
Functional Cluster Owners Project Leads and Quality Managers.
