In Wilton, CT, ASML seeks a Design Engineer 3 to perform optical designs with the objective of developing new products, new tooling, or solutions to existing products; model new designs and translate design requirements into technical documentation and drawings; test and qualify designs; ensure proper implementation into production environment; support systems in the factory and at customer sites by relating observed sensor anomalies to potential system defects; work with a design team to find solutions to difficult technical problems in an efficient manner; derive specifications for module, sub-module, or test equipment consistent with manufacturing practices; develop alignment methods for complex optical sensors and systems, tooling and test equipment to support optical sensor alignment methods; prepare leading system engineer documentation through review, release and change control; prepare or support the preparation of design reviews for the development team; support the integration of new sensor designs into ASML’s platforms; and clearly communicate progress and status of ongoing technical activities to senior management.Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience; expertise in optical modeling (with modeling software such as FRED, Code V); understanding of how the performance of the sensor system affects the performance of ASML’s equipment; leverage MATLAB to perform specification generation; ability to work hands-on to create test setups for design qualification and verification; good oral and written communications skills to document designs in engineering templates and communicate design information to team members and management; and up to 20% domestic and international travel required.Apply online at www.asml.com.EEO/AA (W/M/Vets/Disability) employer.
