Job Description

Planning: Ensure steady productivity occurs throughout the shift.Must be able to set up a detailed production schedule, within the constraints of the Manufacturing Plan and available resources. Ensure progress and output to plan. Solve problems, follow escalation protocol, provide recovery plans, and inform relevant parties on deviations from plan.

Output: Ensure standard work processes are followed.Manage capacity and determine resource allocation requirements; initiate cross-training to effectively manage capacity gaps within your areas.Realize the planned output of all deliverables.Ensure that the level of know-how and the training of the team members is sufficient to be able to realize all plans.Ensure all barriers to the daily plan, quality and part issues are recorded and reported.

Quality: Ensure quality standards and processes are followed.Ensure the quality of the output of Volume Production meets and adheres to the full product specifications: via production processes set by engineering.

Infrastructure: Review infrastructure to assure effective and efficient Volume Production tasks. Ensure the availability and proper use of effective production and qualification procedures and systems.Participate in interviews and resume reviews.

Cooperation: Support cooperation throughout Production by resolving production issues independently, thru finding solutions and improving working concepts, giving input and feedback, and supporting the execution of all tasks.Creating a good working environment the fostering team work and ownership.Lead Tier meetings.In Group Leader’s absence, participate in Production Meetings.Actively participate in the people performance management (PPM) process as an Appraiser.

Lean Manufacturing: Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol.Ensure incorporation of Lean Manufacturing concepts in the day to day operations.Support and promote an safety culture that improves efficiency by using 5S techniques, Kaizen events, and Six Sigma concepts.Facilitate continuous improvement and waste reduction efforts.

Communication: Proficient writing and verbal skills.Able to express complex issues in simple terms.Provide meaningful feedback in a timely matter.Communicate daily with Group Leaders / Manager on the plan and the status at the start and end of the shift.

Education

High School diploma required, Higher Vocational Education in Technical Field or equivalent experience.

Experience

-Minimum of 2 – 5 years of manufacturing experience with some leadership (fast paced environment).
-Knowledge of Production Management.
-Quality Assurance.
-Improvement Techniques.

-Willing to embrace new concepts.
-Must work comfortably in a manufacturing environment that utilizes Lean Manufacturing.
-Effective communicator: written and verbal.
-Must have a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.

-Knowledge of SAP is required or equivalent MRP/ERP system.
-Must be capable of working in a clean room environment (as needed).
