Job Mission

Industrial Engineering provides the people, means, methods and technical capabilities to introduce new products to the customer site. The engineer improves reliability, availability and serviceability of the ASML products at the customer site, according to agreed specifications. This means specifications of operational requirements, co-design of new products, integration, validation, and introduction of new products and processes, and continuous improvement of the volume equipment.

This vacancy is within the software support team. It includes technical support to local service organization in the field of software, software architecture, user interface, UNIX, Fab automation, application software etc., as well as testing and initializing solutions for any found structural problem.

Job Description

In the ASML product life cycle, the engineer has the following responsibilities:

  • Represent the customer support and factory sector in the co-design phase and make sure the service and manifacturing requirements are implemented in the design.
  • Take care of new product introduction towards field organization.
  • Take care of structural improvements and feedback on structural improvements towards the development team.
  • Contribute to and review technical documentation to determine the industrialization impact.
  • Define documentation, spare parts and tooling for the global service organization.
  • Knowledge transfer from development to local service organizations.
  • Analyze global product performance and define requirements for co-design improvement.


Bachelor or Master Degree in Industrialization/Manufacturing Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics or other related studies.


3-7 years of working as an industrial engineer with experience in:

  • Writing and maintaining service procedures.
  • Transferring the needs of the end user for service actions towards a development team.
  • Installation and service of complex computer systems in the field.
  • Software engineering, specifically diagnostic software and automation (pre).
  • Working in a high-tech environment (pre).

Context of the position

The holder of this position reports to the Group leader of the Industrialization team within Development and Engineering Software (DE SW).

Other information

This position requires access to U.S. Controlled technology and around 10% of international travel.
