ASML’s Optical Modules Development Group in Wilton, Connecticut is seeking a Senior Project Leader to lead a team of engineers and physicists to develop, integrate, and sustain optical/photonic sensor systems used within ASML’s photolithography tools.These systems typically include light sources, detectors, optical and electro-optical components, fiber optics, electronics and signal processing software functioning in close collaboration with the rest of the lithography system.Specifically, this person will lead the development for the automatic set-up, calibration, diagnostics, and performance monitoring functions of the sensor systems.Additional responsibilities include creating detailed plans and defining deliverables for the engineers; setting up a team structure that matches the work content of the work-breakdown structure; understanding and utilizing the proper escalation paths and acting accordingly; understanding project interdependencies; running efficient project meetings; delegating necessary tasks to the team; capturing and publishing meeting minutes and action items consistently; learning and understanding how the technical deliverables interact and link to other subsystems; helping to drive technical solutions and solve difficult problems when they arise; assessing performance, reliability and cost risks; understanding operation risks and planning mitigation actions; and routinely preparing and delivering status reports to senior management.Master’s degree in Physics, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other closely-related engineering discipline and at least two years of relevant experience required.Experience working with engineers across disciplines to solve complex optical alignment and metrology problems; experience breaking down complex problems with limited data for solutions; strong critical thinking; strong written and verbal communication skills; competence with optical design and electro-optical devices, detection electronics, electrical and software data processing; and approximately 15% travel to Europe, Asia, and within the United States required.Apply online at www.asml.com.EEO/AA (W/M/Vets/Disability) employer.
