In Wilton, CT, ASML US, LP seeks a Competence Engineer 2 to be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the proto machines/test rigs used in the qualification, integration and issue resolution of newly developed products at ASML; contribute towards an optimal design for the complete product and the creation of the documentation necessary for pilot production and install; be responsible for the installation and testing of prototype hardware and software (reticle stage and handler, wafer alignment sensor, wafer table, etc.) on fully functional test rigs with minimum lead-time and maximum quality; be an expert on all aspects of the test rigs operation and participate in troubleshooting to optimize uptime and availability to the customers that use them; follow and ensure test and operational procedures are followed; monitor test rig performance within set parameters; keep the test rig hardware/software configurations up to date; log all activities in logbook; carry out and/or assist with the integration, installation and troubleshooting activities on the test rig; diagnose, troubleshoot and report issues in the design to improve system performance; review and contribute to test plans to ensure efficient use of the test rig; provide technical support to D&E engineers; ensure efficient use of test rig and escalate problems to group leader, project lead, or proto integrator; transfer machine status and issue list to next shift and/or pass down; train other proto engineers and technicians in test rig operation and troubleshooting; and ensure safe working environment and work according to 5S principles.Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a closely-related field and two years’ relevant experience required.Experience in a multi-disciplined work environment, experience with complex systems, strong communication skills, trouble shooting skills, and English fluency required.Apply online at www.asml.com.EEO/AA (W/M/Vets/Disability) employer.
