The ASML Customer Support organization in the US is looking for Leadership Talent with the potential to grow to Executive Leadership Positions. ASML is a fast paced, dynamic, highly technical, Global Company which provides Lithography solutions to the Semiconductor Industry. Our growth outlook for the US has created and opportunity for ASML to add to the US Leadership Team to lead the delivery of services to our Customers and the development of our people and organization. This position offers a unique opportunity for accelerated development into Executive roles.
Within the Customer Support Organization in US is the Applications organization.The Field Applications team is responsible to demonstrate, optimize, and sustain ASML solutions to ensure on-product performance for customers and work with the account teams to identify business opportunities based on the customer use cases.The team includes project leaders and technical engineers located across the US at the various ASML locations (Hillsboro, Boise, Austin, Malta, Albuquerque, Lehi, Manassas).
As Field Applications Director, your mission is to lead and manage a group of technical engineers that support the optimization the application performance of the ASML scanner, scanner options and associated metrology and control software across the three ASML business lines.To be able to do this, you need to work closely with our customers and the account team to understand their application needs and foster collaboration on development projects to support ASML/US business development.You will also work closely with Product Management and Systems Engineering from the three business lines and the development teams in VHV, Brion and HMI to drive the requirements of the customers in US.You will drive and develop the skills and competency of the Applications team to ensure that adequate competency and staffing requirements are in place to addresses the customer’s current and future requirements.You will work closely with the WW Applications community to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices are shared and process improvements are aligned and implemented.

Provide strategic business applications support and drive business development:
-Establish strategic relations with our customers.
-Approve and support (if applicable plan and negotiate) service level agreement and customer contracts.
-Set the country-level protocol of "customer intimacy” for applications.
-In depth understanding semiconductor industry, customer business model and contribution ASML to business customer to identify business opportunities and drive business development.
Ensure execution capability and adoption to meet customer integration time lines:
-Set ambitious goals and targets for the CS Field Applications team in alignment with the business goals.
-Ensures operational execution resources – planning and budgeting for resources required to execute the business (Opex and Capex).
-Deliver applications value through development projects and sustaining support.
-Drive requirements towards all the BLs to ensure adoption of ASML products and options.
-Manage and execute service SLAs, node transition, ramp and sustaining activities including change control and cost.
Manage, develop and motivate the applications engineers and patterning competencies:
-Recruit, hire, an on-board skilled applications engineers to ensure capability to support all products and services in the applications arena.
-Develop the required competencies within the team to allow for the broad range of services required to integrate ASML products into our customers environment and process.
-Provide leadership in the technical and soft skills to the team, manage the applications team operationally and inspire the team to work integrally and share knowledge to the wider WW applications community.
-Collaborate with the other applications development teams in VHV, Brion and HMI.
PhD or MSc in physics, optical science/engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering, materials science or mathematics or equivalent experience.
-Proven people management experience.
-Experience of >10 years in the semiconductor equipment industry, or semiconductor manufacturing – lithography, metrology or process integration – is a must.
-Proven line management and process management skills to execute strategic initiatives across large organization.

-Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
-Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
-Strong influencing skills: able to motivate, drive, steer and convince others at all levels of the organization.
