Department
Forming part of the R&D side of the company, the Software Infrastructure and Computer Systems department is a subdivision of the software department, which is in turn part of the ‘development and engineering’ department, which designs and tests products and features to be implemented in the machines we sell to customers.

Job Mission

As a Senior Scrum Master you mission is to facilitate 2 scrum teams in the Software Infrastructure & Computer Systems department using Agile principles within a SAFe environment. You help to build the environment and a highly engaged team that leads to efficient, effective and predictable software development.
You will use your in depth knowledge on SAFe to coach other scrum masters in the department on best practices and improvement actions, in order to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and predictability in other teams, resulting in an increasingly performing Agile Release Train.

Education

BSc. or MSc. in Electronics or Technical Software, Informatics or Computer Science

Experience

You have at least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a large-scale software developing organization using the SAFe framework
You are a certified Scrum Master
You are certified in SAFe
You have knowledge and/or experience of working in software platform development

Personal skills

You have to be passionate about working in a multinational, enterprise environment
You are strongly people oriented, without losing focus on business context
You have experience with coaching both individuals and teams
You are a good diplomat
You are a strong networker
You have knowledge and experience with product versus project management
You are highly proficient in verbal and written English

Context of the position

Within ASML, the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the development of ASML products. Within this sector the department Software Infrastructure & Computer Systems (SICS) is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the software of the complex lithographic machines. ASML creates high tech machines; software engineers from SICS are facing several aspects of motion control, production control, data management and Interface control. A huge code base is maintained and under strict configuration management to provide maximum commonality between different machine types.

Other information

This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access U.S. controlled technology.
