In San Jose, CA, ASML seeks Design Engineer 3 to work with R&D to write product and feature specifications including implementation and user interfaces according to system performance and design requirements; develop acceptance test plans and execute end-to-end integration tests to make sure the product as designed can address intended customer problems and provide right solutions; support marketing and sales in new product introductions, including collecting and presenting proof data, developing technical presentations, designing and running demos, developing training materials, writing application notes, and providing needed customization for customer implementations; work with field and customer support organizations to provide 3rd line product support, including answering customer inquiries, troubleshooting customer issues in the field, listening to customer feedback and turning it into new feature requirements or product needs; work with field organizations on specific customer projects including analyzing customer data, drawing conclusions and making specific recommendations; and work with system engineers to define study projects, execute the study, make conclusions on feasibilities, and develop best known methods.Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely-related field and two years of experience in lithography, primarily imaging- and overlay-related experience; working level experience with MATLAB and at least one scripting language; experience defining, executing, and concluding independent feasibility studies based on high level goals; strong hands-on experience with lithography and metrology simulation and computational optimization and control for imaging and overlay performance; experience solving complex problems involving imaging and overlay performance on photolithography; strong software skills, including building utility scripts, customizing software for specific use cases, analyzing large amounts of data, and building automation flows; and 10% domestic and international travel required.Apply online at www.asml.com.EEO/AA (W/M/Vets/Disability) employer.
