The IT Portfolio Management Office (PMO) enables IT to deliver successful projects.
As a Junior Project Management Officer (jr. PMO) you are supporting the PMO team on project related topics, and actively come up with suggestions for improvement initiatives and tasks. The PMO team works on continuous improvements in 4-weekly sprints. You lead small improvement initiatives independently.
You support a dedicated part of the IT project portfolio. You provide analysis and insight on project progress (triple constraint), portfolio health, issues and risks. You challenge project managers on the effective and consistent use of the ASML IT project management methodology, and deliverables on timeliness and quality.
In addition, you coordinate IT onboarding and project management events, contribute to content definition and if needed, act as facilitator/chair of the events.
-2-3 Years working experience in project/portfolio support, working as junior project management officer, or a similar position
-Knowledge of project & portfolio management methodologies (PMBOK/Prince2, IPMA-D)
-Knowledge of and working experience with Agile/Scrum
-Experience with project financials and preferably working knowledge of SAP
-Working knowledge of MS Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and SharePoint Online, and preferably some working experience with Microsoft Project Online and Spotfire
-Communicates clearly, concisely and directly to team lead, peers and customers, listen actively, show empathy to others, strive to achieve a shared understanding of own tasks, issues and goals and speak up
-Pays attention to detail and produces work that meets high quality standards
-Is able to support, advise and challenge project managers by influencing without hierarchical power
-Commitment: takes ownership, focusses on quality and improvements, and sticks to agreements made
-Understands and consistently questions the status quo and analyzes existing processes and data within your own area of responsibility, based on knowledge and experience
-No-nonsense and hands-on mentality
-Pro-active team player with the ability to work independently
-Fluent in English and preferably in Dutch
Context of the position
ASML's IT Portfolio Management Office (IT PMO) is part of the Office of the CIO that reports to IT's Chief Information Officer. The Junior Project Management Officer reports to the Manager IT PMO and has internal interfaces with colleagues from PMO and the Office of the CIO, with Project Managers, Solution Team Managers, Value Stream leads, Portfolio Managers, other IT and Business stakeholders, Finance, Purchasing, suppliers and consultants.
