Without direct supervision, will support various production CNC and Grinding/Polishing machine maintenance functions including, but not limited to: maintaining running equipment, troubleshooting and repairing broken equipment, installation of new equipment, modifications to existing equipment, and preventative and predictive maintenance of production machines.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
-Maintain and repair industrial pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and mechanical equipment, including manual and CNC machining centers, surface grinders, and large polishers.
-Troubleshoot to the piece part level; recommend and perform required repairs, including part requisition and replacement, with minimal impact to shop productivity.
-Be able to read and research electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical schematics and parts diagrams.
-Be familiar with multi-meters and other hand tools.
-Be familiar with lock-out/tag out procedures.
-Be able to work alone or in a team environment.
-Must be able to work safely and follow policies and procedures in an industrial environment under minimal supervision.
-Must possess effective communication skills and basic PC skills.
-Must maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to supervisors and co-workers on all shifts.
-Candidate will be required to wear PPE where appropriate and embrace ASML 8S requirements.
Key Issues Facing Your Job:
-Continuous Improvement of the maintenance program; from enhancing preventive & predictive maintenance, to acquiring and safe guarding critical spare parts.
-Ability to drive multi step rebuilds or refurbishment of legacy equipment.Ability to procure replacement of parts unavailable to commercially acquire direct part replacements. Proper planning and tracking of execution, to implement refurbishment that could be over a period of months. Then follow up the refurbishment is functioning to expectation, spare parts acquired, on-going maintenance requirements documented and scheduled.
-Problem solving; ability to drive a solution to completion of repeating similar equipment failures. Whether it is reoccurring mechanical or electrical.Requires being able to collect and sort through significant historical data, define data that needs to be collected to aid resolving failures, work with OEMs, other suppliers or engineering contractors. Present an action plan, keep it current to resolution.
-Equipment Support Technician must be skilled troubleshooter to quickly identify root cause of an unscheduled failure, then effective to execute repair in reasonable time frame.Majority of time should be spent on planned maintenance, whether repair or PMs, this requires attention to detail and care during performance of these tasks to be effective at preventing fails or equipment faults. Must be self-driving to ensure they are adding value daily to Optical Fabrication, and can be counted on to identify equipment needs on their own, and when assigned tasks will drive it to completion.
Electro-mechanical education: AA degree, Technician Certification, Military, or equivalent experience.
Proven knowledge (3-8 Years) of machine repair/maintenance and/or related technical experience.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills – capable of translating requirements into executable actions.
-Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
-Ability to effectively communicate one on one and in small groups to operators, management,engineers, suppliers, and customer reps.
