Process Engineer: Bonding Technology

Your working environment

In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.

Your tasks

• Process responsibility for all bonding processes including any necessary pre-treatment
• Optimizing and further developing our technical equipment and systems in the glass, ceramics and glass-ceramics bonding / joining sectors using various other materials
• Analyze and eliminate any errors that appear
• Prepare, check and release the process-related documentation (process descriptions, formulas, AAW and production drawings)
• Providing further training for qualified employees during production
• Continuous improvement (CIP) and extending the Statistical Process Controls (SPC)
• Managing projects to reduce manufacturing costs in series production processes (includes reducing reworking and scrap costs)
• Supervision and technological support of takeover projects from the process and product development departments

Your qualifications

• Successfully completed your studies (master/diploma) in process engineering, physics, physical engineering, technical optics or related sectors
• Undergone advanced training as a bonding engineer or bonding specialist ("European Bonding Specialist")
• Several years of practical experience in the joining / bonding and construction sectors as well as experience in commissioning bonding workstations
• Project management experience, preferably in conjunction with optimizing production processes
• Excellent applicable statistical knowledge (SPC)
• Independent, structured way of working, organizational skills and determination
• High degree of personal responsibility, diligence, resilience and flexibility
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and German
