In San Diego, CA, ASML seeks Competence Engineer 3 to ensure that ASML’s systems provide requested light and quality images to ensure good wafer exposure during production; troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment problems in the sub-competencies of illumo, dose control, and Projection Optics Box; during New Product Introduction (NPI) phase, be assigned to the project to gain the skills and knowledge to independently support field escalations; manage own training plan and indicate what is required; transfer and share gained skills and knowledge within worldwide Global Support Center (GSC) to establish and maintain equal GSC continental support teams; during on-site introduction phase, deliver knowledge and escalation-handling to local organization; solve complex technical problems by remotely analyzing data and creating deterministic forward looking action plans, aligning expectations with local team and GSC colleagues worldwide, and involving development engineers to drive resolution; engage in onsite support; manage technical escalations, making sure that the right data is available and provide routine updates to management and stakeholders; collaborate with the departments and CS Service Engineering as necessary to prevent issues from recurring; mentor trainees and deliver feedback on potential improvements; identify learning by use of Incident Repeat Prevention process and make sure proper follow-up occurs; and transfer knowledge to local organization and integrate background information in action plans. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely-related field and 5 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skill-set based on intensive in-depth research, clear communication skills, expertise in optical and electrical engineering, and up to 30% international and domestic travel required.Apply online at www.asml.com.EEO/AA (W/M/Vets/Disability) employer.
