We are a high-tech company and leading supplier to the semiconductor industry. We manufacture the complex lithography machines that chip manufacturers use to produce integrated circuits or computer chips. What we do is at the heart of all electronic devices that inform, entertain and connect us. More than 1,400 employees develop and manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems at our facility in Berlin.
Role and responsibilities
-
Process responsibility for the chemical processing methods used on the surfaces of precision optical components made from glass or high-performance ceramics, such as cleaning and etching
-
Supporting the safe use of existing processes
-
Managing and supervising process modifications and optimizations as well as suitable monitoring measures
-
Continual Improvement Process (CIP) and introducing Statistical Process Controls (SPC) in your own area of responsibility
-
Participating in optimization projects to reduce manufacturing costs in series production processes (includes reducing reworking and scrap costs)

Supervision and technological support of takeover projects from the process and product development departments

Preparing specifications, procurement, commissioning and organizing the maintaining of manufacturing equipment and of add-ons and spare parts

Preparing the work instructions and instruction documents, which includes the training of our manufacturing staff

Designing, improving and supporting the introduction of new designs within manufacturing (e.g. tooling, peripherals)
Education and experience
-
Successfully completed your studies (master / diploma) in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related technical field
-
Very good knowledge of the surface treatment sector such as chemical cleaning processes and other etching processes used on ceramic, glass and metal surfaces
-
Experience in commissioning and qualifying of production systems is preferred
-
Good applicable knowledge of statistics (SPC)

Independent, structured way of working, organizational skills and determination
-
High degree of personal responsibility, diligence, resilience and flexibility

Good analytical and communication skills
-
Very good command of German and English
