Drive the development, implementation and maintenance of security policies, standards, guidelines, procedures and programs to ensure ongoing maintenance of security.
-Lead all aspects of the security function, including compliance initiatives, administrative duties, training and development, risk assessment, and reporting. Proactively identify protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic plan.
-Manage and track site Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and drive site improvement toward goals. Lead problem resolution and provide site leadership with guidance on possible solutions.
-Physical protection responsibilities include asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance and other related areas.
-Oversee a network of security officers (24/7) and vendors who safeguard the company’s assets, computer systems, as well as the physical safety of employees and visitors.
-Maintain relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement and other relevant government agencies.
-Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches as necessary. Assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as needed.
-Assist with investigating industrial injuries to determine root cause and preventative measures.
-Administer security badging system, perimeter and fire/smoke alarm system. Perform periodic testing of equipment.
-Oversee and administer evacuation plans.
-Assist Human Resources group with personnel issues as needed.
-Ability to assess and audit various workplace environments for potential hazards and effect corrective action.
-Drive special projects and assignments as required (parking, office space, knowledge protection program, export laws, etc.).
-Collaborate with the corporate and other offices in new programs, compliance, reports and recordkeeping.
BS Degree or equivalent experience.
-7 years related experience.
-Background in law enforcement preferred.
-Proficiency with access control systems (ProWatch preferred), IP surveillance systems, fire and smoke alarm systems.
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project.
-Possess current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
-Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
-Strong written, oral communication and people skills.
-Excellent presenter and communicator, capable of interacting with a range of coworkers from assemblers to senior level management.
