Development Engineer for Automation Technology (m/f/d)

Introduction to the job

In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.

Role and responsibilities

• Development of software for controlling and evaluating measurement processes
• PLC programming
• Development and implementation of automation solutions
• Creation of requirement and functional specifications in the context of software engineering
• Collaboration in product and technology development projects
• Timely and functional provision of corresponding programs and program parts
• Coordination and cooperation with the specialist departments of our business units and service departments
• Independent development of own solutions and suggestions for improvement
• Education and experience

Education and experience

Your profile:

• Completed degree in the field of computer science, automation technology, mechatronics, or electrical/mechanical engineering, or equivalent training
• Expert knowledge in the field of measurement technologies and software development
• Sound knowledge and experience in programming, especially in the use of C#, TwinCAT and Python
• Experience with hardware-related programming
• Experience in automation technology and plant engineering
• Professional experience in these specialist areas and fields of application
• Ideally, experience with and/or interest in development with Matlab, Labview or Delphi
• Fluent business German and English

Skills:

• Good communication skills, ability to work in a team and openness for agile project planning
• High degree of innovativeness, self-initiative and creativity
