Did you know that almost every plane that leaves Schiphol airport to Korea or Taiwan has either ASML parts or ASML people onboard? Or that ASML produces mirrors that are so flat that if you would enlarge them to the size of our world the highest mountain would be only 9 cm?
ASML brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have several factories in The USA and Asia.
Our internal customers are highly skilled engineers in our factories. Our Mission is that all engineers in ASML’s factories world wide have the required knowledge and skills to perform their job well and safely. As a Training department we support this by identifying customer training needs, defining learning objectives, assessing the gap that needs to be trained, delivering the required training curriculum, training materials, trainers, training facilities and training plan per employee conform agreed scope, time and budget. We ensure that the trainings are effective, efficient and attractive for our customers.
As a Project Leader Training, your main job is working together with account managers, training developers, trainers and subject matter experts to develop trainings which fit the needs of our clients. With the input of all these stakeholders you define learning objectives, budget, a roadmap and a project plan. Once approved by the stakeholders you lead a project team to deliver a professional and well balanced training within time and budget. Your job is done when all stakeholders are (proven) happy!
The projects you lead vary from small (e.g. updating e-learnings) to big (a multiple step training plan which consist of e-learning, VR-training, Inclass training, pre- and after- assessments, On-the-Job training, Train the trainer and updates etc.). We expect flexibility and a hands-on mentality. You have to know what a quality training consists of, how and when education and didactics work (and when not), which learning solutions to choose when, and which challenges stakeholders meet during developing and execution. You will use project management (PMM) and development methodologies (ADDIE) to run your project(s). Using new training methodologies makes you smile and happy customers are giving you energy. Taking your project team by the hand and help them to do their job in the best way possible, is one of the challenges you like best. Of course communication, planning and securing the budget are key strengths. But above all: you like working in the challenging and daily changing world of education, manufacturing high tech machines and professional high skilled people.
