Job Mission

As part of Manufacturing and Logistics, the Wilton Factory Reverse Logistics Planning Department concentrates on the processing of defective material from both the field and factory (Including Optical Fab) through the defect center back to the vendor.

Job Description

  • Manage cross plant Reverse Logistics Department with locations in Wilton and Newtown Ct.
  • Managing and coaching of Reverse Logistics professionals in a production / operations environment.
  • Design process for reverse logistics operations, encompassing returns, repairs, refurbishment, and warranty.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholder teams including; Manufacturing, SCE, Logistics, Procurement, D&E, Customer Support, Material ordering, and Production planning.
  • Define, track, report on and manage performance against department KPIs, recording daily/weekly KPIs to include cycle counts at locations, processing time amongst others to be defined.
  • Responsible for end-to-end repair and return cost management.
  • Reporting and communication: Anticipate problems and proactively communicate across various departments to solution, Initiate actions to correct deviations from planning, Take necessary escalation steps.
  • Inventory analysis: Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure efficient stock counts, monitor aging items, scrap inefficient inventory adhering to proper scrap processes, with basic understanding of MRP requirements planning.
  • Able to organize and chair a MRB.

Education

  • BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 5+ years of professional supply chain & logistics experience, with 3+ years of experience in a reverse logistics role.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Awareness of Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • APICS.
