The IT-applications that support this process are currently being revitalized to meet ASML’s growth and ambitions. As a business support engineer you support and further improve the applications. The end user community is spread globally.

Job Description

You will support the (key-)users in the day-to-day use of the applications and you deliver 2nd/3rd line technical and functional support. You pro-actively monitor the correct functioning of the applications on a daily basis to ensure availability and will fix issues/bugs when they occur.
You will maintain master data in SAP, prepare the administrative initiation of new projects and support reorganizations.
Based on user requirements new functionalities are being prioritized, specified and implemented. You will implement the new functionalities in close cooperation with the user community.
Operational support and maintenance tasks will be approximately 75% of your time, but will fluctuate depending on the required level of support, division of the tasks within the team and the number/size of demands for improvements.

Education

• Bachelor with background in IT (or equivalent based on work experience / proven affinity with IT).

Experience

• > 3 years work experience
• Sharepoint Designer
• Experienced in MySQL (+ Oracle is a pre):
o Setting up MySQL databases; structure / data modelling / interfaces
o Experienced in setting up and maintaining ETL processes for MySQL DB; preferably Pentaho.
o Building MySQL queries
o Monitoring and optimizing database / interfaces / data loads
o Good knowledge of technical set up / tuning (actual technical installation and settings are done by IT department).
• Must have advanced knowledge and working experience with EXCEL
• VBA – Visual Basic for Applications
• Javascript, jQuery, css, Python
• Agile / DevOps

Context of the position

You are based in Veldhoven (Netherlands) being part of the PMO Means & Methods team.
In your role you work closely together with your DevOps colleagues, but also with the key-users of the Project Management Office (supporting the project management community) and have regular contact with end-users. You also work closely together with the IT department; e.g. fixing technical incidents, authorizations, monitoring, maintenance and upgrades.
