The Senior Financial Controller Customer Service is responsible for the accounting, analysis and reporting relating to the customer service activities within the Financial Control Sales (FC Sales) department of ASML. It is a challenging position in a hectic, dynamic and international oriented environment with tight deadlines and direct impact on ASML’s financial results. Job Mission

The focus in this position is on executing and optimizing the accounting and reporting processes of our customer service activities and ensuring proper reporting on revenues and costs.

Job Description

Main responsibilities:

  • Operationally lead our transactional processing, accounting and close procedures
    (team of 3 FTE);
  • Ensure proper and timely internal and external reporting in compliance with US
    GAAP and IFRS revenue recognition guidance (ASC606 / IFRS15);
  • Take ownership of our internal control framework and SOX controls for the
    applicable processes;
  • Act as customer support representative for the worldwide consolidated and local
    statutory audits;
  • Provide insightful reporting and analysis to our business (control) counterparts
    and support on accounting topics.
  • Woldwide collaboration with the ASML shared service center in Korea; and
  • Drive improvement initiatives in the area of accounting, reporting and
    transactional processes


Academic degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Economics. RA degree is strongly preferred.


  • Minimum of 8 Years of relevant experience, preferably at one of the big 4 audit firms;
  • Knowledge and experience with US GAAP and IFRS;
  • Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the requirements as result thereof;
  • Affinity with reporting, data analytics and continuous monitoring; and
  • Experience with SAP ECC is preferred

Context of the position

The Financial Controller Customer Services reports to the Manager Financial Control Customer Service. He/she interacts with various departments and layers in and outside of finance.
