Job Mission

The team leader is responsible for leading the team of material handlers and is accountable for the team results. The department is responsible for supporting the factory with logistics (inbound, outbound and inventory control) and first line logistics support.

Job Description

You will lead of group of material handlers and are accountable for managing a team in the shift. This includes hiring, target setting, end year reviews, setup development actions plans, coach individual team members, define and monitor required training. To be successful, a highly engaged team is key in which you will play a vital role to ensure this.


  • Prepare, carry out and monitoring vision and mission with linked departments;
  • Norm review, make budget via CRP (Capacity Resource Planning) model to realize the agreed targets;
  • Set up standards and values and monitor a good atmosphere (internally/externally);
  • Managing the logistics flow of materials within the factory, by correct prioritizing of orders and initiating warehouse requisitions;
  • Balancing stock levels and the work in progress of makes to an optimum, without compromising timely delivery;
  • Improvement: Ensure proposing and attuning of improvements. Initiate actions of the own group and/or other departments in order to ensure the proper implementation. Evaluate the effects of these actions/improvements.


Bachelor degree in:

  • Industrial Engineering;
  • Supply Chain Management;
  • Business Administration.


  • 3-5 years of management experience;
  • Affinity with the production related areas and business processes;
  • Experience in project management, quality systems, -methods;
  • Broad logistical and business knowledge;
  • Has affinity with different production/buffer strategies (MRP, Kanban, lean).

  • Proficiency in Dutch speaking and writing;
  • Assertive and pro-active;
  • Analytical and solution oriented;
  • Team player with good social and communication skills;
  • Flexible and highly committed;
  • Leadership skills (being role model), drive for results, act under high pressure;
  • Detailed oriented self-starter, process minded, hands-on;
  • Is visibly present on the shop floor on daily basis.

Context of the position

  • Part of the TF (TwinScan) FAB (Factory) Execution organization, supporting the TF Lean Transformation;
  • Reports to the department Manager within FAB execution;
  • Hierarchically leading/coachinga team of material handlers;
  • Provide KPI info and define actions at cross-departmental team (Tier 2) to influence performance focusing at safety, quality and customer satisfaction;
  • Escalate issues to provide successful execution of production plan;
  • Team is part of a cross departmental (Tier 1) execution team with various competencies. This, so called Natural, Team consisting of members such as TS (Technical Support), CRL (Cleanroom Logistics), PP (Production Planning), PI (Proces Improvement), operators.

Additional information: Team Leader will work in support schedule (2-shift).
