Job Mission

Would you like to be part of the latest E-beam metrology equipment development for semiconductor applications? We are looking for an accountable project leader to be responsible for engineering and technical disciplines for specific functions of the tool development. You will be responsible for the Wafer Alignment, Scanning Electron Microscope and own the deliverables of hardware and software to the e-Beam products and will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Each day will offer new and exciting challenges for you to tackle.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with program managers and other project team members to provide assistance /technical support.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Manage risks and (internal) customer requirements.
  • Define deliverables for engineers.
  • Align with cross-projects on regular basis to ensure on time delivery of module.
  • Communicate upward and downward on regular basis.
  • Hold regular meetings to provide information, identify interdependencies, secure cross-sector alignment and agreements.
  • Work with architects to define the project scope and required budget.
  • Delegate tasks and follow up to team members.
  • Is able to assess and address technical risk based on team input from architects and design engineers.
  • Respond to requests for changes with impact assessment and secure program agreements before accepting changes.
  • Understand proper escalation paths and acts accordingly.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required.
  • Master degree, Engineering strongly preferred.

Experience

  • With a Bachelor’s degree, you must have 10+ years of relevant technical project management.
  • With a Master’s degree, you must have 5+ years of relevant technical project management.
  • Candidates must have hands-on expertise in one or more of these areas:Electron microscope, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, wafer alignment and positioning, semiconductors.
  • Demonstrated experience with new product introduction.
  • Experienced in managing suppliers.
  • Experienced in leading complex combined hardware & software projects.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Strong English communication skills – both written and oral

Context of the position

This role is a FLEX position, which is ASML's verbiage for a contractor role.If hired, you will be payrolled through ASML's payrolling vendor who will be your employer of record.You will work directly with ASML in this role.While we allow for some flexibility in rates due to lack of benefits and PTO in FLEX roles, ASML does not pay for cost of housing or relocation. Therefore, we typically only consider candidates local to the San Jose, CA office for this role.Ideally we will hire this person who will work as a FLEX and then be converted to a Full time employee position assuming strong performance and cultural fit.We cannot guarantee this transition, as its dependent on several factors.

As we are working from home now, this role will start in a remote capacity. As we move back to the office in line with government direction and mandates, this role will eventually move back into the office which is located on Automation Parkway in San Jose, CA.Once the team moves back on-site, this FLEX resource will also be expected to be in the office with the team.
