Are you a Business-oriented student with affinity or experience in Optics? Then this assignment in our Research department could be interesting for you.

Job Mission

Several well established optical design tools exist on the market and are widely used by optical designers. These tools usually meet the demand for common optical design applications but can be insufficient for specialized applications. Could the needs of a variety of optical designers be met with a single tool?

Job Description

You will be approaching the problem from a business perspective. You will propose and assess business models for optical design tools by analyzing the pros and cons from the perspective of the company that offers the optical design tooling and from the perspective of the end user. For the latter purpose, you will interact with experienced optical designers in ASML to understand their needs and expectations from an optical design tool.

• Bachelor (WO) or Master in Technology Management, Innovation Management or similar;
• Experience or affinity with technique (optics preferred);
• basic understanding of management, combined with a basic understanding of physics or optics;
• English language, both written and verbally.

This is an apprentice or graduation internship for minimum 3 months. The start date is as soon as possible.

Please keep in mind that we can only consider students (who are enrolled at a school during the whole internship period) for our internships and graduation assignments.
