Are you a student with a background in Industrial Engineering or Business? Are you interested in the impact of COVID-19? Then this assignment could be interesting for you.
The Operations Strategy & Excellence Design department is a staff department for the ASML operations sector. We support ASMLs operational organizations with decision making and looking at grander trends and themes to develop vision and strategies for the operations sector.
With all extreme external events, the impact on organizations such as ASML is significant and will have a lasting effect on its operating model.At present, this is clearly evident with the current COVID-19 epidemic. The effect of this event has brought the focus of workplace management (WPM) to the fore, as the current way how WPM is implemented is being directly impacted and will be impacted in the foreseeable future.
Most organizations are implementing tactical solutions to ensure the going business concern. However, there is a need to understand potential scenarios of how, driven by health, safety, government regulations etc. how WPM changes and how these scenarios will impact ASML WPM in the next 5-10 years.
The goal of this assignment is, together with the WPM business capability team, to investigate the potential scenarios of how WPM might look like in the next 5-10 years, to understand the factors that will realize the scenarios, to determine the impact of each scenario both qualitative and quantitative (e.g. floor space usage / costs) and to provide potential indicators that can be used to monitor which scenario will likely be realized.
You are a Bachelor or Master student with a background in Industrial Engineering, Business Management or related. The English language is required.
The internship is expected to take between 3 and 6 months, depending on your schools demands. The start date is as soon as possible.
Please keep in mind that we can only consider students (who are enrolled at a school during the whole internship period) for our internships and graduation assignments.
