Job Mission

Within the Application Engineering team of the Customer Support department the main goal is to have satisfied customers. This is achieved through proactively providing customized applications solutions and creating tomorrow’s value with ASML products and services that enable our partners’ technology & manufacturing roadmaps.One of the core pillars to achieve this is the know-how of ASML’s products and customer’s process. Knowledge management (KM) thereby becomes crucial. One of the challenges we have encountered is to focus on new ASML products while sustain and update legacy knowledge. This cannot be done without having high engagement of our engineers in KM.

Job Description

Who says that knowledge management can’t be fun? Our goal is to use gamification, Applying game elements to a non-game process as a way to develop a positive mindset and behavior towards KM and let our engineers have fun while contributing to the company success.
You will design and implement a future proof gamification system based on your research. You will also develop and implement a strategy on engaging the users and onboarding them to this new system.


You are a Bachelor or Master student in IT, Software Engineering, Game Design, Knowledge Management or related. You are familiar with Microsoft SharePoint and PowerApps. Experience with JavaScript is preferred. You have a great willingness to learn and have a proactive attitude. The English language is required, both written and verbally.

This is an apprentice internship with a duration of minimum 4 months. The start date is as soon as possible.

Please keep in mind that we can only consider students (who are enrolled at a school during the whole internship period) for our internships and graduation assignments.
