Job Description

This position is a M/F 8/5 w/On-call 5-7 days a week.This is a hybrid role for Service and Applications, where primary focus in on applications (70%) vs service(30%).

Your main responsibilities:
-Deliver defect detection solutions to local service teams to further improve tool utilization by customers

-Continuity between the competencies to ensure issue ownership is landed and escalated appropriately.

-Define and drive customer requirements for existing or evaluation products based on technical intimacy with the customer.

-Translate a customer defect issue into a potential e-beam inspection related problem statement, resolve these issues to help them maximize the performance and use of ASML products.

-Work with the customer to effectively utilize the tool time given to close application related issues quickly and effectively.

-Participate in pro-actively identifying e-beam applications product opportunities for our customer.

-Meet with internal and external customers to maintain two-way level of commitment to keep all involved and affected parties informed of progress.

-Prepare technical presentations for customer meetings.

-Coordinate with the various competencies to resolve issues.

-Drive escalation of issues within the local office and utilizing non-local resources..

-Knowledge transfers to local site engineers and customer.

-Improve service mix and structural issue documentation including initiation, review and improvement rollout.

-Perform preventative maintenance and respond to down tools as needed.


Minimum BSEE, ME


-Hand-on experience of recipe work for defect detection with e-beam tool preferred.

-Engineers with at least 0 - 3 years’ of ASML Photo, Metrology Inspection or e-Beam Inspection experience preferred.

-Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

-Previous experience mentoring new hire engineers & helping integrate from a technical and procedural perspective.

Personal skills

-Must take ownership for solving issues and ensures escalations take place.

-Capable of resolving most issues without assistance & highly independent in a shift position.

-Ability to make decisions in the priority of problem solving.

-Work unsupervised and be responsible for projects, track equipment performance and prepare technical reports.

-Take initiative and ownership to increase skill and knowledge level in team.

-Document knowledge systematically and in an accessible way.

-Clear and effective communication skills required.
