Job Mission

Application Engineering Manager – North America/Europe will lead and manage the North America/Europe Apps team, ensuring the customer focused solutions to EBI relatedapplications, related to the optimization of the HMI products, and its applications performance enhancement options

Job Description

  • Accumulate knowledge supported by a worldwide applications & HMI headquarters’ network, combined with analytical skills to analyze and identify opportunities for HMI systems optimizations towards improving customer’s on-product performance.
  • Leverage powers of investigation and communication, driven by a determination to never give up, you’ll enhance/improve HMI EBI utilization
  • Work in close collaboration with the customer, and connect to the introduction of a new technology node for high volume manufacturing.
  • Propose application product improvements to cover a wide variety of solutions concerning process root cause analysis, recipe set-up and usage, choices in process control strategies, inspection/metrology and design as well optimization.
  • Grow into a role where you can represent ASML/HMI Applications as an expert in the field and get recognition of this by the customer.
  • Work closely with customers and sensitive customer data, a high level of integrity is required for securing confidentiality, while at the same time being able to translate customer issues into problem statements for ASML/HMI.
  • Lead North America Applications Engineering team currently based in 3 locations in the U.S.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Field Service teams to provide value to the customer
  • Setup recipes on the e-Beam inspection tools at customer site if required
  • escalation.
  • Support Metrology projects in collaboration with ASML
  • Support product evaluations, joint development work and customer demos
  • Participate in competitive analysis assessments as required
  • Lead customer meetings and define customer technical requirements, through deep analysis and clear understanding
  • Technically leads difficult, complex application activities and team
  • Travel of approximately 25% within US and overseas

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Education

  • BSc Degree in Physics, Optics, Electronics, Micro-electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or IC manufacturing or equivalent experience.Higher education preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant work-related experience as metrology and inspection engineer
  • Semiconductor industry experience required
  • eBeam inspection, metrology and / or Semiconductor process knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in defining market needs based on deep understanding of customers, applications and products
  • Capability to Challenge the local team and product teams to be as responsive to the customer and have a high sense of urgency for top issues
  • Proven leadership skills in managing, coaching and mentoring local and remote team members
  • Comfortable and familiar of being in a Matrix management environment.
  • Ability to assess competition, conduct analysis, provide feedback to HMI ensuring competitiveness in the market
  • Successful at using strong influence and Collaboration skills to drive regional priorities within HMI
  • Experience working cross-functionally
