Quality Engineer - DUV

Your working environment

In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.
At our Berlin site, our employees manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems. As part of our precision manufacturing you will support the production of optical components, assemblies as well as systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics for our high-tech small series, single part and prototype production.
 

Your tasks

Ensure quality of products from goods receipt, manufacturing to shipping to customers, especially for complex components and assemblies, as well as implement more efficient production processes and meet company objectives 

Initial sample inspection reports 
  • Hold initial sample inspections of purchased and manufactured parts
  • Error reports:
  • Contact person for quality-related issues in the respective defined area of responsibility/work
  • Systematic evaluation of measurement and nonconformity data from the assigned product areas
  • Initiating and demanding corrective measures in the production in the assigned area of responsibility with the support of the process technology
  • Independent determination of weak points, recognition of potential for improvement and determining appropriate quality assurance measures as well as following up on them
  • Application and further development of the Quality Improvement Process in order to establish continual quality improvements
Goods issue
  • Preparation of nonconformity reports and obtaining special approvals from the Customer
  • Quality approvals at the supplier's and customer's site for inspection points carried out (scheduling stages)
  • Check and support in the preparation of quality documents and transmission to the Customer, e.g. test reports (partly in English), data packages, Q reports, nonconformity reports (NCR), initial sample inspection report
 Customer complaints and supplier complaints
  • Proof of component quality to the Customer in suitable documentation, e.g. adequate measurement protocols
  • Complaint recording and processing
  • Responsible for 8D reports for consistent troubleshooting in cooperation with other departments
  • Creation and processing of Customer complaints and supplier complaints in SAP
 Important information
  • Evaluation of key quality figures (data collection, evaluation and report preparation)
  • Coordination with the Customer's Quality department regarding the evaluation of key figures
 General
  • Support during supplier and Customer audits
  • Participation in the further development of the quality management system
  • Training/instructions of employees regarding quality processes

Your qualifications

  • Completed engineering studies with specialization in QM or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing company
  • Confident handling of SAP
  • Good command of English
  • Experience in the successful implementation of improvement projects
  • Confident handling of Q methods, e.g. Six Sigma

Your skills

  • Very good analytical and communication skills; ability to resolve conflicts
  • Ability to work in a team, resilience and reliability, high level of quality awareness
  • Customer-oriented thinking
  • Experience in facilitation and presentation techniques
