Job Mission

ASML is looking for students for summer internship programs. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging software/algorithm problems and push the technology boundaries, with guidance from senior members in the team. In the end of internship, you will give a presentation of your accomplishments, and your work will be evaluated for integration into products. A good candidate should exhibit math savvy, strong analytic skills, be self-motivated and collaborative with team members.

Job Description

In the software research and development (R&D) team, you will be a key member to develop high quality software and contribute to all phases of the development process from designing to release.

Education

  • Ph.D. or M.S. students in Computer Science, Electric Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related areas.

Experience

  • Experience in C++, Python, and/or other object-oriented software development. (Don’t worry. we will teach you how to write professional code).

  • Experience in using Matlab/COMSOL or other simulation packages to solve problems in physics, chemistry, and/or engineering.

Personal skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Eagerness to learn new things and solve challenging problems.

Context of the position

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings. The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods.
