Introduction

As part of ASML Operations and the ASML x-sector Re-Use organization, the Re-Use Manufacturing organization is actively contributing to ASML’s circular economy and sustainability goals. The scope of Re-Use Manufacturingis to drive and own the re-use of parts, tools and packing materials worldwide in order to accelerate learnings, reduce costs and eliminate waste. Within Veldhoven Operations Re-Use, Global Re-Use Centers for DUV and EUV/SRE, Technical Support and Product Engineering and a dedicated Recycling team are in place. The Global Re-Use Center EUV/SRE is looking for operators.

Job Mission

Our Global Re-Use Centers (GRC) EUV/SRE is an operational work center located in ASML factories (and timely in a remote location) and contains operators which are executing planned Re-Use work. The System Rebuild EUV (SRE) work center handles the intake, disassembly and re-use of large EUV modules . This execution team inspects and dismounts material in our cleanroom and dispatches it for reconditioning and re-use.

The tasks of the operator are:

  • Assembly of modules or parts with the purpose of harvesting, mounting or dismounting.
  • Pack and unpack material which has been sent to or will be send from the work center.
  • Execute repair or reconditioning work following detailed work instructions.
  • Understand and follow technical documentation (TPD).
  • Identify re-use opportunities for parts or tools.
  • Works following safety rules in a dedicated cleanroom environment.

The end goal is to improve the material re-use rate in our factories or field, all intended to prevent any material scrap. Learning from reconditioning of parts is equal important as enabling the feedback loop.All activities will lead to structural cost reduction by preventing waste and accelerated learnings.

Job Description

As the operator in the Global Re-Use Center for EUV, the work package contains:

  • Assemble /disassemble modules or parts from EUV.
  • Harvest components, mounting or dismounting components from modules.
  • Pack and unpack material including handling of transport and/or send assemblies.
  • Execute repair or reconditioning work following detailed work instructions.
  • Logistic handling of material in the work center:
    • Execute production workorders to get material moving.
    • Execute basis SAP transaction.
    • Identify all material related information (12NC, BID,….).
    • Unpack material to ensure identification is possible.
    • Control material data versus booked (SAP) material data.
    • Correct deviating data (e.g. MN’s).
  • Material evaluation:
    • Check as-is structure with SAP Bill of Material.
    • Identify deltas and correct, where possible.
  • Be hands-on, willing to learn and able to adjust to the regular changing priorities.

TheOperator in the Global Re-Use Center (GRC) EUV is part of the Veldhoven Re-Use Manufacturing OPS organization. He/she will directly report to the Grouplead (GL) of the GRC EUV. The organization is located in Veldhoven.

Education

No dedicated education certificate, preferred hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment (mounting, assembly, repair).

Experience

  • Worked in manufacturing, preferred in a dedicated production location (clean room, production line) for at least 3-5 years.
  • Hands-on experience to work on parts containing different type of material types (plastic, metal, mechatronics, glass etc.):
    • Following documented work instructions in a manufacturing execution system.
    • Read and understand technical drawings stored in an electronic records system.
    • Work with hand tooling (e.g. screwdriver) as well as automated tooling (e.g. electric torque wrench).
  • Basic IT skills:
    • Preferred in a SAP environment.
    • Basic knowledge within MS-Office package.
  • Hands-on skills to be able to unpack modules or parts which are packed and protected.
  • ASML work experience preferred.
  • Language skills: English, Dutch.

Context of this position

The operator is part of our GRC execution team for EUV. The operator is able to execute operational work following work instructions and execute basic simple SAP transactions to be able to identify, order and/or move materials to be able to finalize his/her work. He/she understands the basics of our operational infrastructure and is able to work in an operational cleanroom environment. The operator has also to execute also physical handling of materials like unpack/pack parts , remove from transport assemblies or similar. His particle and technical skills are available and will be permanent further developed to be able execute based on defined work instructions. Beside prefunded practice hand-on skills, basic technical skills are needed to understand the different material , packing and tooling structures and being able to execute mechanical work. All work has to be executed under our ASML safety rules and regulations.

The operator will report to the GL GRC EF/TF, this position will be in day shift.
