Job Mission

Integrate Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) prototypes and execute SEM system level design verification and performance qualification.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

-Test the functionality of SEM modules and systems.
-Characterize the performance of SEM system.
-Lead and execute SEM function verification on the prototype e-beam inspection tool.
-Diagnose complex system-level issues which involve electron optics, electronic, optics, high voltage, vacuum, algorithm, and software.
-Document procedures and results of electron optics system integration, test, characterization, and design modifications.
-Support system build and maintenance in the customer site.
-Assemble and test the new-designed sub-modules, then integrate the sub-modules into an electron optics system
-Collaborate with design team to optimize mechanical design and assembling procedure
-Quick implementation and test of new designs and solutions.
-Optimize SEM system performance and test procedures.
-Provide best practice procedures of electron optics system operation and methodology of system troubleshooting


PhD or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant work experience


-Strong hands-on skill
-Basic knowledge in SEM and physics
-Team player with good communication skills
-Experience with complex system troubleshooting is plus
