The Development & Engineering (D&E) teams within Business Line EUV own and drive the design, development and industrialization of EUV products and components, based on the agreed ASML product roadmap.
ASML's Product Generation Process is the integral cross sector process that prescribes the way we generate our products. The focus is to support and facilitate successful new product developments. The product generation process is often depicted graphically as a V-model, expressing the timeline from specifications and design to integration and verification of the various levels of the product breakdown. For the D&E teams, the more detailed development process is referred to as the Function Development process.
From the start of EUV, development focus was mainly on performance and on time-to-market. Now EUV products become standard equipment in our customers’ fabs, we need to mature the outcome of our development process, and therefore the execution of the process itself.
Applying the Function Development process is set as the norm for EUV D&E. We want you (a) to show us how well we currently apply this process in EUV D&E, (b) where we have non-conformance and what risks this brings along for our products through an impact analysis, (c) analyze root-causes of the non-conformance, and (d) propose improvements with pilots to show effectiveness of the solutions.
You are a final year Bachelor or Master student with a study background in Industrial Engineering/Management. You should have (project) experience and knowledge in the following areas: Data Analysis, Data Mining, Process Mining, Six Sigma and Problem Solving Methodologies. Thereby, the English language is required.
This is a graduation internship with a minimum duration of 5 months. The start date is in February 2021.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
