Job Mission

In the position of Sustainability Project Leader New Product Introductions (NPI) projects you and your team take responsibility for exploring and initiating re-use and waste reduction opportunities in the New Product Introductions.
You take end-to-end responsibility for defining, executing and release for volume of re-use opportunities within the assigned NPI projects. You drive the team to analyze module roadmaps, investigate and challenge the need for change and/or redesign of a module. With your team you define the work packages and requirements for the module projects to maximize re-use and minimize waste as a result of a new product introduction. You align these requirements, work packages, needed budgets and resources with the module project leads for execution in the module projects and support the module projects with the volume release of these re-use opportunities.
You will also capture the learnings related to process, tooling, documentation and design guidelines within each project and support to embed them into the standing organization.

Job Description

-With your Development & Engineering (D&E) core team (Mechanical development, Electrical development, Machine Conditioning, Optics) initiate sustainable opportunities by preparing business cases and defining new work packages for module teams.
-You define risk mitigation plans and proposals to optimize introduction scenarios to prevent excess & obsolescence and align them with the Business Lines and relevant sectors.
-Organize technical assessments with the module teams and definition of sustainability requirements.
-Work intensively with manufacturing, suppliers and supply chain management to ensure pilot release testing of the proposed sustainability opportunities and a smooth transition to volume production.
-You interact with module project leaders on technical content, capacity reservation and planning.
-Create and maintain project plans and proactively drive project realization.
-Align on priorities, content and resources with your architect and competence lead.
-Report Excess & Obsolescence heatmap and re-use savings to the product team and in progress reviews and drive for risks responds namely re-use.
-Act as transformational leader, capture and embed learnings on technical content, sustainability processes and reporting.

Education

MSc or BSc in technical/industrial engineering or technical business administration.

Experience

->3 years of experience in project management of complex technical projects cooperating with technical professionals.
->5 years of experience in developing, integrating, testing and realization of volume production for complex multidisciplinary products, preferably high tech production equipment.
-Solid technical background (both theoretical and practical) in one or more of the following hardware disciplines: mechatronics, mechanics, electronics, optics or machine conditioning.
-Affinity with managing integral business processes in fast growing and dynamic business environments.

-Self-assured, capable of convincing people, also at higher management levels.
-Excellent interpersonal skills, work pleasantly with people with differing backgrounds and in different departmental and geographical cultures; at various hierarchical levels

Context of the position

The D&E Sustainability department is part of the cross sector sustainability cluster. The mission of the sustainability department is to:
-Accelerate leaning on lifetime and failure modes of products, re-use processes and design guidelines to enable re-use
-Reduce cost within our operations
-Eliminate waste
-To collectively contribute to ASML’s circular economy and sustainability goals.
-You will report to the D&E sustainability department manager and the sustainability Project Cluster Manager.
