The Communications department is divided into four groups of specialists that support different stakeholders: Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, Labor Market communications and Community Relations. The vision of the Communications team is to support ASML employees to be(come) great communicators and strive that stakeholders welcome ASML as an innovation leader as well as a responsible contributor to society. We aspire to achieve this by building and protecting our reputation and our brand, and engaging with (our) talent and other relevant stakeholders.
We are looking for a Communications professional, well-versed in communications’ consultancy, developing and honing business leaders’ communication skills.

Job Mission

This position will be mainly responsible for Corporate Communications and Internal Communication activities to enhance ASML’s reputation as well as to engage employees and make them feel proud to be part of the company/industry development.
With ASML’s product and branding, we are targeting highly skilled people with a technical background in the labor market and compete with talented people in growing field. It is important for ASML to keep a good reputation and enhance engagement with our employees.

By understanding global communication objective and closely working with local business, you will support change initiatives, help leaders communicate priorities and strategic direction, and you will enable leaders and managers to become better communicators. You will also manage various channels within organization for informing, engaging and connecting employees.
The position can possible expand to other communication functions and Japan.

Job Description

In this role, you will have to support our leaders and employees with strategic communications advice, guidance, execution and self-service tooling that helps them reach their business objectives.

You’ll work closely with the country management team and global communications colleagues to properly deliver corporate message/initiative to Korea and present local activities to HQ.You will be involved in developing communications strategy and execution activities for better employee engagement across operating offices in ASML Korea/Japan.

• Making leaders better communicators:
You should be a trusted business partner of the country management team. You know how to shape messages that in line with the company’s strategy, prepare presentation materials and provide constructive feedbacks to help our leaders to better communicate externally and cascade/engage employees.

• Strategic communications:
You need to understand various business functions and their connection with operations. You should demonstrate the ability to understand business goals and translate them into communication goals by creating strategic, outcome-focused, measurable communication plans. You will need to analyze and break up complex problems into tasks and responsibilities that can be, and are, delegated and executed.

• Building messages and telling the ASML’s story:
You know how to tell stories that inspire and engage. You can dig out good stories from ASML Korea/Japan and share those good stories to ASML employees and external audience to enhance the company’s reputation. You know how to find the right person and utilize networks. You have a detailed understanding of local media dynamics and know how to pitch ASML’s story to the media. You will work closely with Corporate Communication colleagues in Asia and headquarters.

• Issue management:
You will need to detect potential risk and issues, analyze situation, involve stakeholders and Asia/headquarters Corporate Communication colleagues to develop communication strategies, build messages and execute local market communication.

• Project management:
You will work closely with business line/sector managers and global communications colleagues to provide valid insights/suggestions and implement global projects to local. You will need to manage projects from planning to execution. We need someone who can go beyond boundaries, think creatively and proactively reach out for collaboration.

• Channel and event management:
You will manage all different internal communication channels as well as online/offline events to inform and engage employees.


Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Journalism.


•10-15 years' proven experience in Corporate Communications and/or Internal Communications in multinational company or start-ups, preferably in high-tech industry.
•Experience in strategic communication act as a bridge in government response is a plus.
•Experience in working with country/top management team members.
•Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Be persuasive in demanding situations.
•Familiar with Korea dynamics and be able to establish media contacts.
•Experience in supporting Japan market or Japanese language proficiency is a plus.

Personal skills

•Exceptional writing and communication skills (with high English fluency):
Demonstrate strong storytelling and editing skills. Comfort with different writing styles. Be able to build messages that in line with company’s strategy. Be able to identify proper spokesperson and prepare talking points/presentation materials for them.

•Strategy and business understanding:
Exhibits a deep understanding of business strategy, impact and corporate structure. Be able to translate complex concepts into meaningful language for internal/external audiences. Be a critical thinker. You should regularly go through “what-if” scenarios and confidently propose potential solutions and work productively in the face of ambiguity.

•Stakeholder management and priority setting:
Understands multiple stakeholders’ needs, identifies cross-sectoral links and be able to set priorities and manage right expectation. With strong consultation capability, including active listening, questioning, providing feedbacks, influencing and being persuasive in demanding situations.

•Strong culture sensitivity:
Ensures that the multi-cultural audience is involved in the plan. Initiates plans that reflect our values and secures stakeholders involvement. Be able to assess potential geopolitical impacts and manage risks.

•Focus on delivering value with a can-do mentality:
Creates impact, deliver tangible business outcomes for ASML and (internal) customer. Takes ownership, initiative and responsibility to create a plan and drive the execution.
