The job mission of the Specialist Export Controls is to monitor and execute export control compliance while pro-actively supporting the Export Control Team and the business in the various regions.
-Responsible for executing export control compliance by working together the Expertise Managers Export Controls in the U.S. and the EU and collaborating with other stakeholders such as the Customs Affairs team and the Logistics Services Organization (LSO);
-Maintain and improve Internal Compliance Plans in the various regions;
-Maintain and improve the ExportControl Framework, execute and monitor controls necessary to ensure compliance;
-Prepare and apply for export licenses, ensure timely license reporting and engage with the licensing authorities where and when necessary;
-Responsible for maintaining licenses and Sanctioned Party List settings in our compliance tool Global Trade Services (GTS) in SAP;
-Give guidance to stakeholders on Sanctioned Party List (SPL) and Legal Control related blocks in GTS;
-Act as key-user for GTS and support stakeholders such as the LSO organization and the Classification Team with GTS related technical issues;
-Assess and follow-up on End-use Statement requirements with involved stakeholders;
-Stimulate and establish good working relationships at different levels with relevant departments within ASML by giving awareness trainings and attending departmental meetings that contribute to increasing awareness and compliance;
-Review the impact of new regulations and share that with the Export Control Team.
You have a bachelor degree (BSc) or similar working experience with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Export Controls within a multinational, law firm or a consulting company.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Export Controls within a multinational, law firm or a consulting company. Knowledge and experience with SAP and GTS is preferred. You are familiar and have experience with working in a multidisciplinary environment and in multi-cultural teams.

-Show ownership of issues from start to finalization

-Fluent in English, both oral and written
Context of the position
In your role as Specialist Export Controls you are part of a team of export control professionals that is active in an international environment with presence on three continents. Export Control is not only essential to enable the supply chain organization to meet the commitments we made to our customers in a compliant way, but in the current geo-political environment also becoming a more strategic compliance area. In addition it is also good to know that compliance is considered to be one of the core values within ASML.
