Job Mission

This role will be part of the Product Marketing team within the Cymer DUV light source business of ASML. This role will be based in San Diego, CA, USA. This position successfully represents Cymer Light Source’s products and services to our customers around the world.The role will be a combination of engineering knowledge and business application with an emphasis on data analysis to support executive level decision making.The candidate will focus on the Lifecycle management of the product and service offerings that represent a majority of the Cymer business.This role provides analytical and marketing support for a number of focus areas that impact the long term success of the Cymer DUV light source business.This role is expected to evolve to include additional product and service management responsibilities.

Our San Diego-based light source division, Cymer, is renowned for developing both deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography light sources and next generation extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light sources.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

  • Blend a technical knowledge of Cymer’s products with customer focus including financial analysis to support executive decision making
  • Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to enhance service for Cymer’s computer chip making customers
  • Identify new product and service opportunities based on understanding of Cymer internal data and market intelligence
  • Update Cymer’s installed base upgrade portfolio according to internal programs and external market conditions, while tracking introduction opportunities for customers
  • Support the product lifecycle from a marketing and product management perspective, driving the annual portfolio assessment and decisions
  • Support customized business proposals for customers worldwide based on intimate knowledge of Cymer data
  • Support key engineering programs with marketing guidance, ensuring accurate business case
  • Source and develop marketing data structures to enable or enhance process effectiveness
  • Develop analytics dashboards with the goal of explaining benefits, identifying opportunities or enabling processes
  • Act as a primary source to understand the business performance of the installed base
  • Support execution of the annual installed base analysis including developing analytic tools, publishing results, driving legacy business support strategies and initiatives
  • Work with regional teams to support appropriate systems end-of-life disposition

Education

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering in a relevant field of study.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant and work related experience
  • Experience in semiconductor and / or capital equipment industry preferred
  • Experience developing complex data analytics in support of business goals
  • Excellent presentation skills, particularly with PowerPoint, to convey concise and unambiguous messaging to peers, executives and customers
  • Experience working with Tableau, Spotfire or similar data analytics platforms highly desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Self-starter; self-motivator; willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Excellent decision making skills and business judgment
  • Understanding of Oracle ERP systems a plus
