Job Mission

As the Group Lead Material Planning in Wilton, CT how would you like to be part of the critical path to make material available to build AMSL’s leading edge ‘best in class’ lithography equipment?You’ll lead a team working closely with our worldwide supplier base as well as our Wilton Ct. Factory customer,scheduling and delivering material on time and complete to make our production plan.Lead a clearly defined unit: manage people and development, adhere to process and policies, execute planning, contribute to the development of department strategy and process improvement.Manage in line with corporate guidelines, business plans and targets, in order to ensure the realization of ASML’s defined Strategic Objectives for the assigned unit.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

Responsibility & Authority:

  • Is responsible for operational team results and contributes to structural improvements through project initiatives.
  • Participates in cross sector improvement projects.
  • Has projects with impact up to 75 million Euro in working capital or up to 5 million Euro in net cash/year (this doesn't apply for US and Asia).
  • Coaches (planning) competencies within team.
  • Sets priorities of activities of the entire team.
  • Interfaces and builds relations with a limited number of suppliers.

Key Interfaces:

  • Internal: ASML sectors.

Strategy & Policy:

  • Gives input for or drafts year plan and budget for own team, and realizes execution. Time horizon typically is three to six months.

Interaction with stakeholders:

  • Explains and convinces internal and external parties about chosen solutions based on content-driven argument.
  • Typical stakeholders Department and other department manager and external stakeholders.
  • Process optimization & organizational development:
  • Evaluates (work)processes for own functional discipline and initiates and implements process improvements.
  • Proposes changes in organizational design to management.

Team Size:

  • Supervises work of >10 subordinates.

Type of activities:

  • Coordinates activities that require at least advanced vocational, working and thinking level (more experienced bachelors).

  • Prepares stocking strategy and new product introduction in customer & supplier supply chains.

  • Needs to understand Supply Chain Management/Planning Systems on high level to manage material availability risks for factory and customers.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.Masters degree preferred.


  • 3-5 years’ experience in factory operations, logistics operations, or procurement.
  • Basic knowledge of factory operations, logistics or procurement.
  • Advanced knowledge on planning systems.SAP preferred.
  • APICS Certified or enrolled desirable,
