Job Mission

-Product reliability engineer is supporting competence in the area of reliability in DE organization.
-The job mission is to support DE product development projects to ensure the products developed meet product reliability specifications.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

-Working with design teams of function clusters for new product development to ensure new designs for new products meet product reliability specifications, such as module life time, system availability, MTBI, MTBF and MTTT and etc.
-Supporting Project Leaders of function clusters in their need of design for reliability (DfR), FMEA and reliability test and help design teams to embed reliability in the designs.
-Help design teams in function clusters to generate design risk list (DRL) against module reliability specifications.Facilitate FMEA sessions for the items in DRL and follow up mitigation actions.
-Analyze field failure statistic data and discuss with DE and program to come out the direction and project for structured reliability improvement.
-Review failure analysis (FA) report and work with design engineers to define the solutions of reliability improvement.
-Work with design team to pick up candidates for module reliability test (HALT or HASS) and design the test, collect test data and interpret test data.
-Need be able to work with a cross function team of members from different function clusters to meet ASML product reliability requirements following GID and support development projects.
-Being the knowledge owner of reliability competence and provide reliabilitysuggestions to design team.
-Defining reliability safety competence training matrix, ensuring training of design engineers to reach the desired competence level and driving the growth of reliability competence maturity.

Education

BS in mechanical or electrical engineering with7 years mechanical or electrical system design experience. Or
MS in mechanical or electrical engineering with 3 years mechanical or electrical system design experience.

Experience

-Industry mechanical or electrical system design experience.
-Knowledge of statistics and reliability analysis tools.
-Experience in DfR and reliability improvement.
-Broad technical knowledge in mechanical/electrical engineering and affinity with related disciplines
-Experience in semiconductor equipment industry is a plus; experience with ASML is even better.

-Be able to communicate effectively throughout different levels within the organization.
-Team player with team leader experience; such as plan activity, drive progress and build teams.
-Can get people on board (influencing without formal power/negotiating skills)
-Is able to coordinate a group of people to manager the project to meet agreed goals.
-Willing to provide advice to design team
-Convince design engineers with reasoning.

Other information

-Main office is in Tainan with less than 15% travel.
-Sometime need work with remote office in Asia or US. (remote)
