ASML is searching for a senior contract manager to join its international Sourcing & Supply Chain organization , with a specific focus on further development of contract lifecycle management and compliance. The position is based in Veldhoven, The Netherlands.
Within the Sourcing & Supply Chain sector, you will be the main source of expertise in supplier contracting. You will drive improvements and innovation in all aspects of contracting, from definition of the contractual framework together with legal, contract template development and change control, compliance with contract authorization policies, maintenance and further improvement of contract repository and access. You will be responsible for defining and implementing tools and processes to ensure easy (automatic) identification of contract obligations, contract compliance against those obligations and support of contract claims management. As contract manager and expert you are the go to person for questions about contracts and you provide training to Sourcing Leads and Category Managers. You may be asked to support specific deal negotiations to ensure that the contract matches the intent of the deal.
In summary, your role will be to ensure that contracts signed with our suppliers are best in class, clearly reflecting the agreements made with supplier and are established in accordance with contracting policies.
You will be part of the business support team which provides business and analytical support to the Sourcing and Supply Chain department. You will be working in close cooperation with internal stakeholders within Sourcing and the Legal department.
Responsibilities and deliverables of the Souring Contract Manager:
− Be the main source of expertise for all aspects of the contracting process;
− Ensure compliance and drive de-risking the business amongst others by standardizing contracts, ensuring contract templates are kept up to date with new requirements and new clauses are made available;
− Define and set-up tools and processes for monitoring and execution of contract obligations;
− An efficient and effective workflow to ensure each contract is reviewed and agreed by all stakeholders prior to signing and contracts are stored and - on need to know basis - accessible in a central repository;
− Monitor and flag compliance / legal issues and conduct reviews of existing contracts for compliance with applicable contract policies/red flags;
− Increase awareness in contracting and contract related areas such as risk, compliance, data protection, security through advice and training;
− Develop and implement contract management roadmap and CLM tooling roadmap;
− Coordinate contracting process globally to ensure uniformity, efficiency and professionalization;
− Be the Sourcing interface for other sectors’ questions concerning procurement contracts, (privacy office, security risk management).
− A Master degree in a commercial/business area: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Law.
− 5-10 years’ experience in a similar position supporting commercial teams in their contracting process in a multinational company;
− Experience with specific compliance domains such as information security, product safety, IP rights management is preferred;
− You have a profound understanding of commercial procurement contracts in an environment with dependency on strategic supplier relationships;
− You have been part of successful contract preparations with international parties;
− You have an interest to work in an international and challenging environment.
